Ukraine’s Oschadbank sends $1 bln suit against Russia to court
KIEV, Aug 26 (PRIME) -- Ukraine’s Oschadbank has submitted a U.S. $1 billion lawsuit against Russia over the loss of its Crimean assets to an international court, as follows from a statement on the Web site of the bank.
“Today, on August 26, Oschadbank has submitted a lawsuit with the entire set of proofs,” the bank said.
“The sum of claim includes the price of asset loss, the price of business loss and interest accrued before a final decision of the tribunal and until the receipt of compensation according to a commercial rate set by the tribunal and amounting to $1 billion.”
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, acts as the legal representative of Oschadbank, it said.
